To attend Wheaton, you should be able to affirm our mission and Community Covenant. Our mission is to develop whole persons who will build the church and benefit society worldwide “For Christ and His Kingdom.” Our Community Covenant is a shared commitment to cultivate a community of Christians who live, learn, work, serve, and worship together. Living in this kind of community is like no other—it’s a place of grace where you’ll make lifelong, life-changing friends and be surrounded by caring mentors and guides.
For Early Action I, applications are due October 15. For Early Action II, November 15. And for Regular Decision I and II, January 15 and February 15. We offer both our own application and the Common App.
Yes! Each year, Wheaton College provides more than $50 million in financial aid to students based on merit and financial need. Nearly 90 percent of new first-year students receive some combination of scholarships, grants, loans, and/or federal work-study to help make their Wheaton experience affordable.
Not at all! Family members (especially parents) are strongly encouraged to attend Wheaton Connection with their student. All of the sessions on the schedule are open for parents to join. Students and parents are encouraged to “divide and conquer”, with parents and guests invited to attend informational sessions while students attend class.
Coming to Connection? Current Wheaton students are excited to host visiting students overnight in their residence hall rooms to give you a full look at community life at Wheaton!
Overnight hosting for visiting students will be assigned on a first come first served basis. We will make every attempt to accommodate all overnight hosting requests, but this is not guaranteed. Please register by 2 weeks ahead of your event date if you would like to stay with one of our current student hosts.
We’re only able to accommodate high school juniors and seniors in the residence halls. Any other prospective students, parents and family members who plan to attend will need to stay at a nearby hotel.
If you have a friend or family member who is a current Wheaton student, you’d be welcome to stay with them! Just list them as a ‘prearranged host’ on your registration form and connect with them about your visit dates.
